KPW Print – Going from Strength to Strength!

KPW Print completed 2015 with the successful introduction of some new equipment. The business had another very successful year where it delivered 10% sales growth and increasing volumes has necessitated the investment in new finishing equipment. The new Muller Martini Presto II machine is for the finishing of booklets – it will collate multiple sections, saddle stitch and trim to finished size. The €250K investment significantly expands the finishing capabilities at its production facility in Ballinasloe. The new equipment is very efficient and flexible runs can be realized at speeds up to 9,000 cycles per hour. The space saving layout combined with a high level of automation makes this saddle stitcher the most productive and efficient on the market. The robust and reliable Presto II features the latest in ergonomic design. This allows good accessibility and ease-of-use of the saddle stitcher. The new equipment was commissioned in late November and was operational before the end of last year. The equipment will be used for some of KPW’s customers in the medical device, pharmaceutical, hospitality and public sectors. KPW continues to develop its capabilities in response to a growing business and the company now employs 34 staff at its head office in Ballinasloe. The business enters its 67th year of trading, having started from humble beginnings in 1949. The company now boasts a broad range of design, print, finishing and warehousing capabilities in house. KPW is the design and print partner of choice for many well-known national businesses and organisations that include Jurys Inn Group, Dalata Hotel Group, Hilton Hotels; Coillte; Department of Social Protection; Central Applications Office; Health Services Executive; Dairygold; Kepak; Budget / Avis Car Rental; Heat Merchants and Corrib Oil.
